Overview: Join volunteer naturalist Fred Losi for a walk through the emerging open field habitat of Astorhurst in search of butterflies. Along the way, we will note other late spring wonders such as wildflowers and migrating birds. For early May, the butterflies were cooperative, with seven species being noted. The group was engaged with many additional subjects including plants, mushrooms and birds. Thanks to Frank for posting these beautiful pictures to add to our overlook group photo.I look forward to next month, where if the weather cooperates we may travel through The Arch!
